General Notes
The show lasted 2 seasons, for 75 episodes.
DVDs are available through Amazon and other retailers but only 18
episodes are on disk.
Jim Bowie was played by Scott Forbes and the show covers Bowie's
adventures before the Alamo.

Each episode was narrated by John Laing or Scott Forbes himself.
The series was based on The Tempered Blade by Monte Barrett.
Resin Bowie is difficult to pronounce as he's called "Resin, Raisin,
and Reason."
The Bowie knife isn't made from a meteorite but the sheath is made
by Mrs. Black, wife of the blacksmith who made the knife.
We never find out how JB gets his second bowie knife and sheath.
People are constantly trying to sell copies of JB's knives.
French characters are often nobility that went to school in England.
Bowie is tri-lingual and is a businessman interested in law, order, and the next big business deal.
The Native Americans never uses the bow and arrow, war club, or tomahawk.
Only 1 person ever uses an axe.
Shackles don't exist.
Afro-American and Mexican children don't exist.
JB has 2 outfits, formal: formal coat & brown hat, tactical; brown leather suite & white
hat with black stripe.
JB carries gold but doesn't own more than 2 knives, 1 rifle, and 1 pistol.
JB's catch phrase is "Well dog my cats."
